A broader exhibit offering and new events

GRAPHITEC - the graphic chain exhibition: from multichannel to printed material will be held at the Paris Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Pavilion 4 from Tuesday, June 7th to Friday, June 10th, 2011. 4 days for a 360-degree vision of innovative printing.

GRAPHITEC is now held every two years to keep up with changes in the printing and graphic industries, and it already meets with great success with the announced presence of nearly 150 brands and companies.

How is GRAPHITEC shaping up two months ahead of the exhibition?

« In the first place, our decision to hold GRAPHITEC every two years has gained full support!

All the leaders are there! All the prepress, printing and postpress sectors are well represented. Recent commercial and technological agreements prove that the industry is constantly changing and also show its innovative capacity. In light of these recent developments GRAPHITEC promises to be a foremost event this year for printing industry professionals. 

More than 150 exhibiting companies and 8,000 visitors (printing companies, print buyers, government bodies, agencies, etc) are expected. More than 85% of GRAPHITEC visitors do not visit Drupa nor Ipex. Therefore they expect a lot from their domestic exhibition: New products, information, machines, concrete applications. An exciting challenge for exhibitors. »

 

To address the industry's issues and challenges GRAPHITEC 2011 will stage a great number of special events to provide solutions to all industry professionals via:

A conference cycle open to all visitors with previously unpublished presentations

GRAPHITEC brings printing industry professionals to deliver free-admission theme presentations during the 4-day exhibition.
Themes will include: CSR to support corporate development – The strong points of paper in multichannel communication – Offset and digital printing: boundaries, convergence and reconciliation – Trends in graphics creation - Web to print - Finishing... (Conferences are hed in French only).

The Papers area: A new showcase for papers

GRAPHITEC creates a unique area to showcase paper, its strong points and many facets. Visitors will discover the latest paper innovations in this dedicated area. In partnership with INP-PAGORA.

 

Place des nouveautés GRAPHITEC 2011

Rendez-vous « Place des nouveautés » pour découvrir dans un espace scénographié les dernières nouveautés des exposants !

Exhibitors' new products, machines and services will be displayed in a dedicated area within the exhibition. In 2011 the new products will also be submitted to the GRAPHITEC'XPERTS Committee. The committee will give a special "Favourite Exhibits" award to the most outstanding innovations.A few weeks ahead of the exhibition, get an online sneak preview of the official selection for GRAPHITEC 2011!

The Printers Campus : Focus on diversification

To know all about the new opportunities offered to printing companies, GRAPHITEC, in partnership with UNIC, proposes a new area within the exhibition. It will be organized into "corners" and a "theatre" where practical and educational workshops will be run on three key topics: Training & Human Resources; Development & Strategy; Innovation & Technologies.

How are the printing related industries getting on?

PB: The gradual recovery in the advertising market, the good performance of print media, and the printed catalogue's evolution towards a periodical-like editorial approach are forerunners that lead UNIC to predict a scenario showing the way out of the crisis if the industry can reinvent printed materials.

 

Why are UNIC and its partner organizations reinforcing their presence at GRAPHITEC?

PB: For quite a number of years now, UNIC has become a service platform dedicated to corporate support, technology monitoring, and collective actions. UNIC had therefore to take advantage of GRAPHITEC to showcase its print offering in tune with the needs expressed to us by print buyers.

 

 

Why have you partnered with "Campus des Imprimeurs"?

PB: Providing benchmarks for the industry and identifying the relevant indicators that change our strategic environment when digital technologies pose a major challenge for us, were reasons for establishing a partnership with GRAPHITEC. The idea was to give birth to the graphic chain concept via the Campus des Imprimeurs, by bringing together the major segments of our value chain and the tools which help the branch build its collective actions (e.g. funding of vocational training and qualification schemes, social welfare, training organizations).

Campus des Imprimeurs will additionally offer the opportunity to organize workshops on industry-related themes to demonstrate that, with the advent of multimedia communications, printed material remains the backbone of overall communication. Our collective willingness to promote our media is more than ever on the agenda, but as we need to provide companies with measurable visibility, we will harness the showcasing opportunity offered by GRAPHITEC to highlight the industry's talents to provide the knowledge and skills that communication requires.
